The Ashes Barns sits outside Endon, on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands, and you get the whole place to yourselves. The West Barn for the ceremony, an archway through to the garden, and a boating lake at the bottom of it.
You get ready in two rooms that feel nothing like each other, one more like a little cottage and the other a bit of a man cave. Confetti happens in the archway as you come back out, and the best light of the whole day is down by the lake at sunset.
None of that needs setting up. I photograph it as it happens.
Documentary wedding photography and film at The Ashes Barns in Staffordshire, captured as the day happens.
This is Holly and Andy's wedding film at The Ashes Barns. It's filmed the same way I photograph, following the day instead of staging it.
Full day photography starts at £1,250, with an engagement shoot included. The engagement shoot is about an hour somewhere near you, a couple of months before the wedding, so the camera isn't a new thing on the day.
If you're getting married at The Ashes Barns, send me your date and I'll come back the same day and tell you whether I'm free.
I'm based over in Lancashire and I travel for weddings, so if you're still choosing between venues I'm happy to talk it through with you.
