I’m Anthony, a wedding filmmaker and photographer working across Lancashire, the Ribble Valley, the Lake District and the rest of the North West.

I’ve always loved photo and film, and I’d dabbled in both for years. When I decided to take videography seriously, I started making promotional videos for local businesses. A work colleague saw them and asked if I’d film their wedding.

I was nervous. With a promo you can always go again, but with a wedding you only get one shot at it.

Photography came next. Another photographer asked me to second shoot for them, and because of all the filming, it came naturally.

I know it’s hard having a stranger following you around all day, so I try not to be one. By the time your wedding comes round, we’ve usually had a few calls. You’ll know a bit about me, and you’ve probably told me about a few of your guests too.

On the morning, I like to chat to everyone, make sure everyone’s excited, and have a laugh at whatever daft thing is happening in the room. If you’re nervous, tell me about it and I’ll see if I can make it go away.

For your couple portraits, I’ll give you gentle guidance, find good light and keep it relaxed. It’s also a chance for the two of you to have a few minutes on your own, which doesn’t happen much on a wedding day.

My favourite part of any wedding is the speeches. You never know what’s going to get said. When a speech really connects I’m usually fighting back tears, and when one goes off script and it’s funny, I can’t hold the laughter in. By the evening, you’ll usually find me in the middle of the dance floor with everyone else.

Away from weddings, I’m happiest with my family and our pets, two cats and a dog. I love films, I’m a big 90s metal and grunge fan, and I’ll take any excuse to go to a gig.
