Mitton Hall is a Ribble Valley wedding venue, and the first thing you see when you walk in is the fireplace. A stone gothic arch under carved panelling, stained glass either side of it, candles along the mantel. It is already lit and already there, which is how I like a room.
The rest of this page is how a day here actually runs, rather than how the venue describes itself.
Relaxed, documentary wedding photography at Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley.
Couples come out of the ceremony room onto the front of the building, and that is where the confetti happens. It is the one bit of the day worth getting everyone organised for, and it takes about two minutes.
Later on, the best light is round the back in the lower garden. That is usually where we go for your couple photographs. It is a short walk, it does not take long, and you are back with your guests before anyone notices you have gone.

The same way at Mitton Hall as anywhere else. I stay out of the way, I do not stop the day to arrange things, and I photograph it as it happens. You will not spend your afternoon being posed. Apart from the confetti and the group shots, most of what you end up with is what actually went on while you were busy enjoying it.
Full day wedding photography starts at £1,250, and an engagement shoot is included. I film weddings as well, so if you want photography and film from the same person you can have both.
Send me your date and I will come back the same day and tell you whether I am free.
The fireplace room is where the big group shots work. I have photographed a whole wedding party stood in front of it, lit by the candles that were already on the mantel, with the stained glass either side. If you have a large bridal party and you are quietly worried that group photos are going to eat your afternoon, that one took a few minutes.
